Nestled in the heart of Landrum, SC, The Venue at Ballenger Bridge is a historic wedding venue that beautifully blends nature’s splendor with refined elegance. Situated on 200 acres of private land in the scenic Dark Corner of Upstate South Carolina, this former 1820s grist mill offers stunning views of the Middle Tyger River and Glassy Mountain.
The venue features an open-air octagon pavilion, perfect for dining and dancing under the stars, and a historic covered bridge that adds a romantic touch to every celebration. Lovingly restored by Alan and Jennifer Zordan, Ballenger Bridge now offers a unique and enchanting setting where couples can create unforgettable memories, with every detail thoughtfully managed to ensure a day that is both intimate and uninterrupted.

My husband and I just got married at the Venue at Ballenger Bridge on April 26. This venue is magic, from the gazebo in the pond to the rushing Middle Tyger river all the way to the beautiful pavilion overlooking the river and the red covered bridge. The owners worked their tails off to make the venue ready for us! They added a special touches everywhere. Calla lilies, hydrangeas and all the flowering azaleas on the property are just gorgeous! All of our guests were so happy to celebrate with us in this most beautiful location! The owner, Jen is very accommodating and she strives to help create beautiful weddings for her guests. I highly recommend having your wedding or event here!!

Calming Scenery!!
From the moment I stepped onto this venue I fell in love. The river that flows through the middle is absolutely breathtaking, on top of just giving a calming scenery. There’s a red covered bridge that sits above the river, we decided to do our cocktail hour and guest book signing on this bridge and it was definitely great for photos. Such a perfect spot for an event where you want your guests to feel relaxed and comfortable. Not only are there ample places for beautiful photos, but those very places, the covered bridge, babbling brook, and chapel, are part of the guest experience and provide a natural, enjoyable environment for everyone to enjoy.
